ABOUT US

Local 729 Set Painter & Sign-Writers is a local union chartered in 1953 by IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) and is currently made up of over 885 active members with unique and creative talents to apply paint, lettering and blend colors on sets and locations for the creation of Motion Picture films and television. Each of these artisans and craft persons contributes to preserving, promoting and protecting the interest of all members of Local 729.
